Not happy. Not happy at all.
The first snow of spring over April Fool's Day weekend was a big joke for us, and we just shrugged off those 8". The sun came out the following evening, and four days later there was not a snowflake to be found. Four days later, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, saying 16"-24" of new snow over the weekend. Now, 7 hours into the storm, there is about 12" of new snow covering our summer wonderland and transforming it back into Hume Lake Christmas Camps. We are all anticipating another gorgeous week of summer, but already another storm is forming for next weekend. Impending doom in the form of 10,000,000 snowflakes await...
