Mystery Project Update

If you've seen me on facebook, you've probably seen me posting pictures and updates on my Mystery Project.  Well, I've kept up blogging about my progress over at buildingcreativity.blogspot.com and you should go check it out!  It's turning out pretty sweet!
*Note: I will be raffling off the first ride once it proves street-worthy.  Raffle tickets will be available from either this site or buildingcreativity.blogspot.com as the date gets closer.  I'll accept paypal, personal checks, or social security numbers.
*Note *Note: the first ride will not be raffled off.  My apologies.  However I will still accept paypal donations.

Merry Christmas... in April!

Yesterday, the predicted snowstorm actually came.  Yes.  It is April 20th.  It's spring already, for goodness sake!  We don't want another foot of snow yesterday, or another foot of snow tonight like the forecast says!  Please, bring the sun back!

You really should be glad you're stuck in Greece.  They have sun there.

Merry Christmas!!!

Ooooooh, pwetty!

Boys town!  Aren't you glad to come live here in a couple weeks?

Maintenance & SS!

"I'm sorry, high adventure will be closed today.  The snowboard run and ice skating, however, will open up tonight at 7p.."

Ponderosa Rd.  And to think, the day before I was hiking up there in shorts and a t-shirt, my camelback and walking stick on a 4 mile hike...

Not happy. Not happy at all.

The first snow of spring over April Fool's Day weekend was a big joke for us, and we just shrugged off those 8".  The sun came out the following evening, and four days later there was not a snowflake to be found.  Four days later, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, saying 16"-24" of new snow over the weekend.  Now, 7 hours into the storm, there is about 12" of new snow covering our summer wonderland and transforming it back into Hume Lake Christmas Camps.  We are all anticipating another gorgeous week of summer, but already another storm is forming for next weekend.  Impending doom in the form of 10,000,000 snowflakes await...
Until then, here is a picture or two from my front porch, because it's 1:45am and I'm not walking out in my socks to get you a better picture.

Psalm 23

1 The LORD is my shepherd;
        I shall not want.
        2He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
        He leads me beside the still waters.
        3He restores my soul;
        He leads me in the paths of righteousness
        For His name's sake.

        4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
        I will fear no evil;
        For You are with me;
        Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

        5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
        You anoint my head with oil;
        My cup runs over.
        6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
        All the days of my life;
        And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
        Forever.
